Easter Bandanas

The first suggestion on an easter basket stuffer is a cute dog bandana. There is something so adorable about a dog rocking a colorful and fun spring-themed bandana. What makes dog bandanas even more special are the incredible photo opportunities they provide.

Remy and Roo bandanas come highly recommended from me. Their range of cute styles means there’s something for every pup’s personality. They are good quality and there are many raving reviews from previous customers. They also come in a 4-pack like the one shown below. I love these particular styles because they can be worn all spring/summer long.

Easter Collar

If you are someone who loves to change out their dog’s collars dependent on the season, then this easter basket stuffer idea is for you. A collar is something your dog has on the majority of the time so why not make it cute as well? Check out these adorable styles from LionHeart.

Easter-Themed Dog Toys

Easter brings the perfect opportunity to enrich your dog’s playtime with themed toys. My dogs are HUGE “toy dogs.” Which means they are extremely HARD on their toys. I have bought plush toys in the past which have gotten destroyed in mere hours. I wanted to suggest this durable carrot dog toy. The reviews say it is extremely durable and good for tough chewers. Plus, carrots are the Easter Bunny’s favorite treat right?!

Another “toy”” I would highly suggest to add to your easter basket is a snuffle mat. Snuffle mats are amazing dog enrichment activities and this one is spring/Easter themed.

Dog Treats for your Easter Basket

You can’t have an easter basket without some sort of yummy treats. Since dogs can’t partake in chocolate bunnies, they will have to settle for the next best things.

Some of my favorite treats to buy online are Bocce’s Bakery Dog Treats. My dogs go nuts for their treats. They are baked in the United States and come in many different flavors. These would be an easy treat bag to add into your basket.

If you want to go down more of the decorated dog biscuit route then this set of dog-friendly “easter cookies” are precious and extremely affordable.

Lick Mat

A lick mat is a great dog Easter basket ideas. A lick mat is a sensory tool that doubles as a great enrichment activity and a delicious treat for your dog. Add peanut butter or other food toppers and let your dog lick lick lick!

To Tie It Altogether: The Easter Basket

Now, I can’t just give your Easter basket stuffer ideas without recommending the actual basket. You’ll want a basket that’s sufficiently spacious to hold all these delightful dog toys and treats. Instead of an actual basket, I suggest a cute dog “bin” to be used as your dog’s Easter basket. That way it can be used as a toy holder once Easter is over.

If you’re looking to add a personal touch to your pup’s Easter experience, consider customizing their basket. This basket is affordable and able to be personalized with your dog’s name.

Safety Tips for Doggy Easter Baskets

  • While curating an Easter basket full of goodies for your pup can be fun, there are things to keep in mind to keep your doggo safe. A chocolate bunny may symbolize Easter festivities for humans, but for dogs, they pose a significant health risk. Similarly, while plastic eggs might seem like a fun way to hide small treats, they can become a choking hazard.
  • Avoiding chocolate altogether and opting for dog treats made with natural ingredients ensures your pup can partake in the Easter fun without risking their health.
  • Including plastic Easter eggs in your Easter egg hunt? Ensure they are large enough not to be swallowed by your pet and always supervise their play. It may be tempting to let your little dogs carry around their little plastic egg finds, but it’s best to avoid that altogether, For extra safety, choose sturdy, larger eggs and consider filling them with healthy, small treats to keep your dog’s interest without risking their well-being.
  • If you need to add the typical fake grass to fill up your dog’s basket, make sure it is pet-friendly and that your dog does not munch on any of the “grass.” Make sure to supervise.
