Frozen Peanut Butter and Jelly Dog Treats

A yummy dog-friendly twist on a classic flavor combination

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup peanut butter (xylitol free)
  • 1/2 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil

Equipment

  • 2 Medium Bowls
  • Silicone Mold(s)
  • 1 Whisk
  • 1 Wooden Spoon

Method
 

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the peanut butter and coconut oil.
  2. Heat in the microwave for 15 seconds until soft. Keep heating in intervals until the coconut oil is melted.
  3. Stir until smooth and set aside.
  4. In another medium bowl, mash the fresh blueberries until smooth.
  5. Using the silicone molds, spread a thin layer of the peanut butter mixture into each mold.
  6. Add a layer of blueberry "jelly" on top of the peanut butter mixture in each mold.
  7. Cover with more peanut butter mixture.
  8. Place the filled silicone molds in the freezer.
  9. Freeze for at least 3 hours until solid.
  10. Remove treats from molds and store in an airtight container in the freezer.
  11. Serve to your pup!
