Cook Time 20 minutes
Course: dog treats
Cuisine: homemade dog treats

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of peanut butter ensure it's free from xylitol and artificial sweeteners
  • 2 large eggs or medium eggs if that's what you have
  • 2 cups of coconut flour a great choice for dogs on a special diet
  • 3/4 cup of water
  • Optional: unsweetened applesauce

Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Hand Mixer
  • Spatula
  • Rolling Pin
  • Baking sheet lined with parchment paper
  • Cookie cutters in fun shapes like Easter eggs and Easter bunnies

Method

  1. Prep Your Space: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper for easy cleanup. Gather your materials on a clean cutting board or floured surface to start the fun Easter dog treat recipe.
  2. Wet Ingredients Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of peanut butter and 2 large eggs using a hand mixer. This step is crucial for creating a smooth base for your dog biscuits.
  3. Mix-in Flour and Water: In the same large bowl, pour in 2 cups of coconut flour, making it a base for our homemade treats. Now, add in 3/4 cup of water.
  4. Combine and Knead: Gradually mix the wet ingredients into the dry ones with the hand mixer. The mixture should start to form tiny clumps like the picture above.
If the mixture seems too crumbly, add water slowly until you achieve a pliable dough. Use your hands or a rolling pin to gently knead the dough on a floured surface.
  5. Roll and Cut: Roll the dough to about 1/4 inch thickness. Use cookie cutters shaped like Easter eggs or the Easter bunny to cut out your homemade dog treats.
  6. Baking Time: Place your shapes on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the edges start to turn golden. Continue scrolling for decorating instructions.
